You are right.  Things WILL get easier!!!  They will get easier because in spite of everything that you have been through (and you have been through a hell of a lot), you are still able to keep hold of your dreams.  You are very strong-willed, determined, and you have an amazing ability to persevere.  Reading your entries is inspirational (you remind me of a few of my cousins and your family problems are very similar to mine).  It's good that you are pursuing your education in spite of everything, cause believe me I know that college is stressful and you're raising a family on top of that. I could only imagine. 

But, I won't get all setimental.  Just wanted to tell you to keep your head up cause God has an amazing reward in store for you. 

Some advice about majoring in mathematics--you should probably also take some education courses so that you can become licensed to teach math or take advanced stats so that you can help with research.  Otherwise, you'll have to waste more money to go back to grad school.

Well online classes, I know Phoenix University is like $1400 a class.  Listen, to try to help you with your money, go to www.choosetosave.org  ok?  And try this, go to your bank, take out a loan, put the loan in a cd... make small payments on the loan, your credit score will anty up, and you'll make a profit of the loan.  Just do a six month cd... I know it won't help you now, but in six months you'll have some cash more than you do now.  Just a thought.  The site, I told you about gives you some handy info on loans, grants etc.  Your a student and a single mother... that may help you more than the Pell.   Good luck, girl!  chick
